Accident survivors "can't afford to shoot and miss"

Congratulations to U.S. Congressman Kendrick Meek of Florida, who won a convincing victory yesterday in the Florida Senate primary, easily besting businessman Jeff Greene.

A longtime supporter of structured settlements, Congressman Meek spoke at the National Structured Settlements Trade Association's Winter Meeting in 2009.  In his speech, Rep. Meek spoke movingly about people in Florida "who have been a part of these schemes on Wall Street [and who] have literally lost everything." 

Turning to structured settlements, he declared his support because accident and injury survivors "can't afford to shoot and miss" with their financial settlement.
