With deep sadness, we report the passing of Bill Tocchi, former member of the NSSTA PAC Board of Directors, president of Structured Financial Associates and consultant for Ringler Associates. Those who met Bill during his years in the structured settlement business had the privilege of knowing a true giant. In an industry where negotiations are often difficult and someone’s word must be ironclad, Bill commanded universal respect from the men and women around him.
In many ways, Bill was a remarkable, wonderful contradiction. While he had a deep intellect and financial acumen, he never wavered in his empathy for those who had been in accidents. He had an analytical mind and yet also maintained the inherent creativity necessary to serve his clients’ varying needs.
Most important, though Bill was a recognized leader in the industry for so many years, he always found time to mentor younger staff.
Bill passed away Monday morning, January 23, only a few hours after his New England Patriots qualified for the Super Bowl. We have a hunch that he was smiling on the inside.

I didn't know Bill very well, but what I did know was a man always with a smile and an encouraging word. I always looked for him at NSSTA meetings, if only for a hand shake and "Good to see you". I always will.
